Conde Cavaliers Community Outreach
The Conde Cavaliers are more than just a once-a-year parading organization.
In December, we partner with the Shoppes at Bel Air to spread holiday cheer to the community during Santa Claus’s annual arrival at the mall. Together, we organize a parade through the Shoppes at Bel Air, showcasing our signature float—the Conde Express. Members, families, and children fill the float to capacity, creating a unique and festive entrance for Santa Claus. The turnout is always incredible, and the community’s excitement makes this event a highlight of the season.
In addition to our holiday celebrations, we host an annual bicycle drive to support underprivileged children in Mobile County. Members are challenged to donate bikes, which are distributed through partnerships with Cops for Kids and the Child Advocacy Center. This effort ensures that many children wake up to a brighter Christmas morning. We also make it a priority to support the children in our local neighborhood by donating bicycles to families near our Float Barn, bringing joy close to home. The kindness and generosity of our members and community partners make these efforts possible, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to give back.
Finally, in the spirit of Mardi Gras, our members visit local hospitals, nursing homes, and Augusta Evans School every year before our parade. Traveling by bus, we bring the magic of Mardi Gras to these facilities, parading through the halls and spreading joy to those who need it most.
